We work with people, organizations and communities to chande thair Ives throuah Person Centred thinking and planning. We work among people from various spheres of life. in a speciar way cnangether ives in oued persons. We fight for their cause followng Person Centered Approaches (P°CA) and also John O/Bienis Five Sericus onier ishments ie, to give them a presence in community. enhance the relationships with them, allow them to make choices, make them compelent with our support and respect them as an indi-vidual. We collaborate with like-minded organizations working in the same field.

The series of PCP workshops in India by Helen Sanderson, Julie Lunt, Kate Toms and Louise Skelhorm in different periods of time gradually paved the way for the establishment of IPCAI. Dr. P. Ninan Kurian, Director of Ashabhavan, Kottayam and Anu Ninan intiated the PCP practices in India. Mathew Kanamala, Linta Behnan, M. J. Sebastian and K. C. Varghese got opportunity to learn PCP from UK.

Mathew Kanamala became the first accredited trainer of PCA after series of observed workshops in India. He has authored many books; the recent one is 'Dementia Care; A Journey to Restoration'

As a result of the continuous rapport with HSA and Menter Fachwan, Wales, UK, IPCAI was established and registered as a charitable trust in 2012. Helen Sanderson, Julie Lunt, Kate Toms, Louise Skelhorm, Dr. P. Ninan Kurian and Mathew Kanamala are recognized as the founding life members of IPCAI. Anish Mohan was elected as the first National Coordinator in 2013. He is a trainer who bagged the State Award with 65% disability.

Our first National Conference was at Kottayam, Kerala. As a result of the National Conference and our continuous efforts Kerala became the first state in India to provide Special Parking area for differently abled persons in all institutions in 2015. Our second National Conference was on 28th November, 2015 at Mangalore, Karnataka. With the help of HSA and Dimensions, UK and under the guidance of Ross Young we made it possible to avail Indian Version of PCA E-Learning.
