About Us
The Institute for Person Centered Approaches in India is a charitable trust (Reg. No. IV/360/2012) established in 2012. IPCAIs vision is inspired by the principles and values of Helen Sanderson Associates (HSA), UK. We work with people, organizations and communities to change their lives through ‘Person-Centered’ thinking and planning. We work among people from various spheres of life. In a special way we focus on ‘differently abled persons’ and we fight for their causes using a unique Person-Centered Approach (PCA).
- Our Vision
Our vision is to transform ourselves and our society into an inclusive, vibrant, compassionate, healthy and having social justice for all.
- Our Mission
The unconditional love and Person-Centered Thinking urge us to be selfless and committed in our services. We also partner with individuals, families and institutions to support and care differently abled persons who have all the right to live a better life. We serve by organizing, mobilizing, supporting and motivating the Communities. Our mission is to make the world an amazing place to live in.

- Our Story
The series of PCP workshops in India by Helen Sanderson, Julie Lunt, Kate Toms and Louise Skelhorm at the beginning of the millennium paved the way for the establishment of IPCAI. Dr. P. With close coordination and active support from HSA and Menter Fachwan, Wales, UK, IPCAI was established and registered as a charitable trust in 2012. Dr. Mathew Kanamala, Helen Sanderson, Julie Lunt, Kate Toms, Louise Skelhorm and Dr. P. Ninan Kurian are the founding life members of IPCAI.
